Criminal Justice

​MHSA 2020-21 Annual Update
TAY (n=23), Adult (n=116), Older Adult (n=23), page 21+: 
  • TAY: 99% decrease in incarceration days in the TAY Pathways to Independence Program (2019-2020 FSP/ACT Outcomes)
  • Turning Point Community Programs (TPCP) ACT-AOT: 78% decrease in incarceration days (2019-2020 HHSA Adult FSP Outcomes)
  • HHSA Adult: 82% decrease in incarceration days
  • HHSA Older Adult: 99% decrease in incarceration days (2019-2020 HHSA Older Adult FSP Outcomes)

Mental Health Court (MHC) & Addiction Intervention Court (AIC) Outcomes, 2021-2022 (Small portion of programs funded by MHSA funds) 
  • MHC Participants (n=36): Outcomes while in the program:
    • 87.4% decrease in arrests
    • 92.8% reduction in jail bed days
  • AIC Participants ((N=37): Outcomes while in program:
    • 78.4% reduction in arrests
    • 90.2% reduction in jail bed days

cALBHB/C supports the work of california's 59 local mental/ behavioral health boards and commissions by providing resources, training, and opportunities for communication and statewide advocacy.

Local boards are responsible for reviewing community mental health needs, services, facilities and special problems, and serve in an advisory capacity to local governing bodies and local mental/behavioral health directors per CA Welfare and Institutions Code 5604.2.
Donations are welcome. CALBHB/C is a nonprofit organization.
