  • 17% of beneficiaries reported improvement in their Behavioral and Emotional Needs

  • 19% of beneficiaries showed a decrease in their risk factors, and 17% showed an increased functioning in their life domain.
TAY FSP, Page 127
  • Given the pandemic, many schools/colleges reopened, and TAY were forced to return to school, work, and handling additional family responsibilities. Balancing these priorities were difficult and some of these youth ended their behavioral health services even though they continued to express needing support. On average for TAY FSP, there were 178 discharges and 55% of these beneficiaries had a successful discharge from services.
Intensive TAY Full Service Partnership (TAY IFSP), Page 127
  • On average, there were 58 discharges and 43% of these beneficiaries had a successful discharge from services. The successful discharge may be lower than expected but this is due to the fact that the program is for a total of 18 months and these is a low number of discharges in comparison to the clients being served which skews the discharge data.
  • 6% of beneficiaries reported improvement in their Behavioral and Emotional Needs
  • 31% of beneficiaries showed a decrease in their risk factors, and no change in their life domain functioning. The pandemic was likely a strong reason for this result as youth faced an unprecedented increase in anxiety and depression during this time.

The california association of local behavioral* health boards & commissions (cALBHB/C) supports the work of california's 59 local behavioral health boards and commissions by providing resources, training, Technical Assistance. 

Local boards are responsible** for reviewing public behavioral health needs, services, facilities and special problems, and serve in an advisory capacity to local governing bodies and local behavioral health directors.
