  • 88% maintained a C average or improved academic performance

  • 100% reported regular school attendance or improvement in school attendance

Victor Community Support Services Full Service Partnership, 125 individuals served.
  • 93% remained in a community living situation and avoided a higher level of residential care. There were five incidents of temporary homelessness
  • 85% of youth served were maintaining at least a C average and were not failing any classes at discharge.
  • 85% of discharged youth reported regular school attendance or improvement in school attendance (based on the CANS item “School Attendance”). 
  • 90% of youth did not experience a suspension or expulsion in this fiscal year. 
  • 94% of individuals had no new legal involvement while receiving services.
  • Ninety-five percent (95%) of youth served did not experience a psychiatric hospitalization during the fiscal year. 
  • Based on the CANS item, “Relationship Permanence,” 100% of children served were able to identify at least one lifelong contact. 
  • 90% of surveyed caregivers reported maintaining natural supports and 83% reporting increased connections in the community.

    • 19 (18%) individuals had some form of employment at the end of the 17/18 fiscal year,
    • 10 individuals engaged in competitive employment in FY 17/18 compared to only 2 in FY 16/17.

Nevada County Housing Development Corporation (NCHDC) Housing & Support Services, MHSA Housing
  • 44 individuals were housed through NCHDC in FY 17/18. This included:
    • 2 tenants that have remained housed for over five years
    • 12 tenants who have been housed for more than three years
    • 4 tenants left the program and of those, two secured independent housing

cALBHB/C supports the work of california's 59 local mental/ behavioral health boards and commissions by providing resources, training, and opportunities for communication and statewide advocacy.

Local boards are responsible for reviewing community mental health needs, services, facilities and special problems, and serve in an advisory capacity to local governing bodies and local mental/behavioral health directors per CA Welfare and Institutions Code 5604.2.
Donations are welcome. CALBHB/C is a nonprofit organization.
